Since last we looked at the draft order some players have signed.  The new draft order is the following.

So currently the Yankees have the 17th pick in the draft.  The draft order will have two more changes that will happen to it.  Max Scherzer and James Shields both are still out there and the team that signs then will forfeit a pick once signed.  I do not see any of the teams in front of the Yankees with a non protected first round pick signing either of those players.  So as long as the Yankees don’t go after one of those two I see their 17th pick being locked in.  Now the comp pick that they got for Robertson could have some play into it.  We should have the draft order set for sure within the next few weeks as I don’t believe these players will go too far into January without signing.  Once that happens I’ll finalize the order and than talk potential draft budge for the Yankees.
