Andujar Wins Pinstriped Prospect’s Prospect Graduate of the Year

Throughout the month of September, we have hosted various polls on Pinstriped Prospects so that our readers may help us name the top players throughout the system during the 2018 season.  The fans have spoken and named third baseman Miguel Andujar the 2018 Pinstriped Prospects prospect graduate of the year.

Andujar, 23, won with 82% of the total vote, beating out Gleyber Torres, Domingo German and Kyle Higashioka.

It is hard to argue with that choice, Andujar has been on fire since joining the big club this season, hitting .297/.329/.527 in 148 games and set a new record for Yankee rookies with 46 doubles, beating out Joe DiMaggio.  The young third baseman has also hit 27 home runs and drove home 92 runs while cementing himself as one of the top rookies throughout the game.

In his minor league career, he hit .274/.323/.412 in 596 games since 2012.
