Bad Pitching Dooms Riverdogs

Key Story:

Pitching was terrible today as Rookie Davis and Jordan Cote didn’t pitch well at all. Davis went three innings, didn’t strike out any batters and allowed four hits and three walks.  That led to the three earned runs for him.  Cote came in and pitched worst as he went three and two thirds while allowing four earned runs.  Those two pitchers put the Dogs in a whole they couldn’t climb out from.

Captain Clutch of the Game:

Might have to change this to the Judge Award as Aaron Judge keeps winning.  Judge went two for four with a homerun.  It’s still surprising that he is still at this level as he is still playing so well.

Golden Sombrero of the Game:

Both pitchers as above.  On the hitting side Brandon Thomas went hitless in three at at bats with two strikeouts.

Up Next:

Severino goes tomorrow and tries to hold down a good Hickory team.  This will be a great test for him.
