Baseball America has released their updated New York Yankees Top 10 Prospects list and to no surprise shortstop Gleyber Torres remains the Bronx Bombers’ top prospect.
Following Gleyber is outfielder Clint Frazier, Chance Adams, Estevan Florial and Justus Sheffield round out the Top 5 with Dustin Fowler, Clarke Schmidt, Miguel Andujar, Domingo Acevedo and Tyler Wade completing the top 10 list.
Schmidt is an interesting addition to the Yankees Top 10 list as the 2017 first round pick has yet to throw a professional pitch due to undergoing Tommy John surgery a month before the draft.
Removed from the Top 10 list was shortstop Jorge Mateo and right-handed pitcher James Kaprielian. Prior to the 2017 season, Baseball America ranked Mateo as the #4 prospect in the system and Kaprielian as #5. Also gone is Albert Abreu who was previously ranked at #9.

Trenton Thunder’s Jorge Mateo is off the Top 10 list. (Martin Griff)
Aaron Judge was removed from the list after spending the entire season so far in the majors.
