Yankees prospect players struggled to get on base in yesterdays game against the Surprise Saguaros, which resulted in a 2-1 loss for the Scottsdale Scorpions.
Covering the infield, Greg Bird played first while Dante Bichette Jr. found himself at third base. Bird went 1-4 in his at bats, contributing an RBI. Bichette batted 2-4.
Tyler Austin played left field, he had two at bats but struggled to connect, while Aaron Judge remained in right field, batting 0-3.
Birds RBI came in the first inning after a ground ball to center field, bringing home teammate, L.J. Mazzilli.
