Bird Scores In Scottsdale Loss

Yankees Prospect player, Greg Bird, contributed a run in yesterday’s game against the Glendale Desert Dogs, which resulted in an 8-4 loss for the Scottsdale Scorpions. Prospects Dante Bichette Jr. and Aaron Judge also entered the game.
 
Bird played first base and was fourth in the batting lineup. He batted 0-3 with a walk. Bird earned his run in the bottom of the sixth inning. At bat, he was was walked, followed by an advancement to third when teammate, Josh Bell, connected for a ground-rule double on a fly ball to left field. Next at bat was Bichette. He connected for a ground ball, which would bring home Bird. Bichette was called out at first.
 
Bichette played third base, and batted 0-4 with one RBI and two strikeouts. Judge, who played right field, also batted 0-4 with two strikeouts.
 
The Scorpions will return to play tomorrow against the Surprise Saguaros. The game will begin at 12:35 MST
