Bullpen Blows Severino’s Start

Key Story:
Luis Severino continued his dominance of the Sally league.  Severino went six innings and gave up no runs for the fourth time this year.  This lowered his ERA to 1.95 and will also lower his FIP too.  Severino only struck out five batters while allowing a walk to go along with three hits.   Severino got some talk on a BA podcast from the 9th.  They talked about if Severino was a starter or reliever.  Both John Norris and JJ Cooper said the Yankees will give him every chance to prove he isn’t a starter.

Captain Clutch of the Game:
Aaron Judge has broken out of his mini slump with a good day.  He went three for five with a double, a run scored and RBI.  Before this game over the last nine games Judge has hit .138/.316/.241.   Even with that for the season Judge has a .303/.417/.420 line before tonight.  A promotion is in short order

Golden Sombrero of the Game:
Philip Walby wins today as he got one out and allowed three runs which blew the game open.

Up Next:
Clarkin takes the mound against Hickory at 7 pm.
