CHARLESTON, SC – The New York Yankees announced that right-handed pitcher Cale Coshow has been promoted to High-A Tampa and that infielder Renzo Martini has been added to the Charleston RiverDogs from the Tampa roster.
Coshow, 22, was selected by the Yankees in the 13th round of the 2013 draft out of Oklahoma Christian University. In 11 appearances with RiverDogs, Coshow was a perfect 7-for-7 in save opportunities with a 1.13 ERA. In 16-innings pitched he gave up two earned runs on 10 hits, walked only four and struck out 20. He held opponents scoreless in 10-of-11 appearances. The Tulsa native exits the South Atlantic League ranked second in saves behind Delmarva’s Donnie Hart, who paces the league with eight.
Martini, 22, was signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent in 2010 out of Valera, Venezuela. He played in two games with the Tampa Yankees this season and went 1-for-6 with a double, three walks, and four strikeouts. Last season, the infielder played in 54 games with the Staten Island Yankees and batted .199 (36-for-181) with 10 doubles, a triple, four homers and 31 RBI. He made his professional debut with the DSL Yankees2 in 2011.

It will be fourth ISHPI Red Shirt Friday of the season and it is presented by WEZL, with postgame fireworks over the scenic Ashley River presented by Home Telecom. Support the military by wearing red and when you come to the box office, you can and receive $1 off your ticket. Fans will have the option to donate that dollar to Canines for Veterans, who will once again bring “Titus the Bat Dog” to perform his batboy duties during the game. The RiverDogs will wear special red jerseys as a show of support for our military.
