Chad Green Optioned to SWB

The New York Yankees have announced that Chad Green has been optioned back to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple A) on Wednesday morning.

In Tuesday’s 5-3 loss to the Cincinnati Reds, Green tossed a scoreless inning of relief. He entered the game in the eighth inning and promptly struck out Jose Peraza before yielding a single to Devin Mesoraco. Patrick Kivlehan then grounded out in a 1-4 fielders choice. The next batter, Billy Hamilton then struck out swinging to end the inning.

No announcement has been made on a corresponding move to fill Green’s spot on the 25-man roster. Due to the scheduled off day, the move will most likely be made tomorrow, May 10, 2017.
