Chasin’ 28 Episode 21: Yankees Bounce Back, But Questions Remain

On this week’s episode of the Chasin’ 28 podcast, Ricky and James begin the show with the New York Yankees showing somewhat of a bounce back in the first two games of their series with the Cleveland Indians. They discuss the starts by Domingo German and Jordan Montgomery, Rougned Odor‘s clutch hitting, and Gleyber Torres‘ 3-hit performance on Thursday.

Of course, this Cleveland series came after a 1-4 homestand against the Rays and Braves. They examine whether or not the struggles to start the season have been a player problem or a coach problem, Torres’s lack of hustle on Wednesday, does the team need to change their plate approach, and why the Yankees still feel they need to use an opener.

After another edition of 3-up, 3-down (including a surprise down from Ricky), the duo previews the epic pitching matchup later tonight between Gerrit Cole and Shane Bieber and why the next couple of weeks could be where the Yankees start to round into form.
