Chasin’ 28 Episode 5: Yankees Holiday Wish List/Florial and Medina Shining In Winter Ball

On this episode of the Chasin’ 28 Podcast, Ricky Keeler, Alexis Farinacci, and Robert Pimpsner talked about the latest New York Yankees news and rumors. They started the show by talking about whether or not the Yankees should go after Tomoyuki Sugano, the pitcher from Japan as a Plan B for replacing Masahiro Tanaka. How long should the Yankees wait on LeMahieu since the deadline to get a contract done for Sugano is January 7th.

After discussing the Mets’ interest in LeMahieu and Tommy Kahnle going to the Los Angeles Dodgers, the trio gives the players they want if they were writing a letter to the Yankees Santa this Christmas.

In the minor league portion of the show, they talked about the success Estevan Florial and Luis Medina are having in winter ball. What are the expectations for them in 2021 and can their success change the way people view the Yankees farm system? Finally, they look at some prospects to watch in 2021 if/when there is a season.

In our final thoughts, Robert has a message to share with the listeners as well. Happy Holidays to everyone!
