Chef Vincent Tropepe Joins SI Yanks for Italian Heritage Night

On Saturday, August 19 the Staten Island Yankees will host Italian Heritage Night at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George.  The annual celebration celebrates the contributions made by Italian-Americans and this year will feature Celebrity Chef Vincent Tropepe.

Chef Tropepe will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the start of the game and will also be hosting an exclusive meet-and-greet dessert tasting throughout the night.  Lucky pass winners will be able to sample more than thirty signature desserts handmade by Tropepe himself.

In addition, author Marianna Randazzo will be on hand for a book signing.  Ms. Randazzo is the author of Given Away: A Sicilian Upbringing, Brooklyn’s Best: The Michael Behette Story, and Given Away: The Rest of the Story.

The first 1,200 fans at the ballpark on August 19 will receive a free Staten Island Yankees candle sponsored by Yankee Candle and all fans will be treated to a fireworks display after the game.
