Key story:
Ian Clarkin ended his first half on a very big high as he went five innings striking out five and only allowing two hits. This is the best way for him to end his first half with a great final start before the all star game. Clarkin needed this for confidence as he had a few only ok outings but this was a successful first half for him.
Captain Clutch of the Game:
Dustin Fowler went two for five but those two were big hits. He hit a grandslam and also had a triple.
Golden Sombrero of the Game:
Eduardo de Oleo was hitless in five at bats with three strikeouts.
Up Next:
Charleston next plays on Thursday at 7. No starter is announced yet.
