De Paula Named NY-Penn League Pitcher of the Week

Staten Island Yankees starting pitcher Juan De Paula has been named the NY-Penn League Pitcher of the Week for the week of August 7-13.

De Paula, 19, started two games during that time span and pitched 11 2/3 innings, striking out 8 and allowing only 2 earned runs.  His last appearance came on August 10 when he held the Williamsport Crosscutters hitless over 6 innings of work.

The Staten Island Yankees head into the 2017 NY-Penn League All-Star Break with the best record in the league with the best pitching staff in the league.
