DePaula Dominates in Lost

Key Story:

DePaula dominated the game with his stuff today.  DePaula went six innings with seven strikes outs.  He allowed two hits, two walks and an earned run.   With this game he lowered his ERA to 2.51 to go along with 19 strikeouts over 14.1 innings so far.  This is good start since a mid season promotion last year went very bad.

Captain Clutch of the Game:

Peter O’Brein continues to mash his way to the majors.  On the day he only went two for four with a double.  Of all the Yankee prospects he has come out the game the strongest with a .333/.356/.667 slash line before tonight.  Only concerning is his 2.2% walk rate compared to a 20% strikeout rate.

Golden Sombrero of the Game:

Zach Woods pitched and lost the game.  He went two innings and gave up three runs, with two of them being earned.  Now it wasn’t his defense that failed him as he was the one to make the error.

Tampa goes up against Dayton as they try to right this losing streak.
