Key Story:
Luis Severino got the start and was good as he handled a good Greenville team. He went five and one third innings because of pitch count issues. In those innings he allowed five hits, two walks and two earned runs. Now one of the runs did score because of a wild pitch. Especially in minor league games it’s hard to tell what should be a wild pitch or a pass ball. He did strike out six batters for the win.
Captain Clutch of the Game:
Dustin Fowler had the best game of his young minor league career. He went three for four with a home run.
Golden Sombrero of the Game:
Hard to have a bad performance when the whole offense has twelve hits and three walks. Eduardo de Oleo had two strikeouts in four at bats.
Up Next:
Clarkin goes tomorrow night against Greenville. He is hoping to continue his good start trend at 7 pm.
