ALTOONA, PA – The Trenton Thunder offense outhit the Altoona Curve Wednesday morning, but five errors in the field was the difference in a 5-4 loss at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
Through four innings, the Thunder committed five errors leading to a 3-1 lead against Jordan Montgomery. Against Altoona starting pitcher Clay Holmes he launched a triple over the head of center fielder Hector Ramirez to bring Trenton back to within a run.
Altoona scored twice in the bottom of the 5th to extend the lead to its largest of the day at 5-2.
