Hi, what are you looking for?

Errors Lead to a Lost

It’s hard to win a game when you commit seven errors.  The Yankees lost to the Braves nine to four at the Braves complex.  As a team they had 9 hits in 38 at bats to go along with no walks but thirteen strikeouts.

Best game of the day was Mikeson Oliberto as he went two for five.  One of his hits was a home run and he had two RBI’s.

Worst game was Austin Aune.  Aune went hitless in five at bats with three strikeouts.  On defense Aune had four errors.  It appears that Aune has worn down with this being a long season for him.   Over his last 10 games Aune has a line of .214/.267/.310 to go along with 2 walks and 18 strikeouts.  Keep in mind over the previous 22 games he had only struck out 19 times.

Ty Hensley got the start and was very good.  He went two and two thirds innings.  He allowed one hit but three unearned runs.  Hensley got two strikeouts to go along with four groundball outs to two flyball outs.  Here is Kiley McDaniels scouting report on Hensley http://tinyurl.com/8eayfpx  Very good scouting report there.

Daytown Dawe relieved Hensley and went two and one inning.  He allowed three hits that led to three runs but two earned runs.  He struck out two to go along with four groundball outs to one flyball outs.  Dawe did have 2 wild pitches thou.

Hayden Sharp finished the game by going three innings.  He gave up three hits that led to three unearned runs.  Sharp struck out four guys and got groundballs also as he got four outs via the groundball to one flyball out.

Tomorrow the Yankees with travel to the Jays complex for a noon time game.
