Here are the final mocks before the draft.
Baseball America (http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/mlb-mock-draft-2015-version-5-1/)
Selection: James Kaprielian, rhp, UCLA
30. Yankees: College arms still make sense for a club that develops pitching well and is loaded with position players from Latin America in the lower levels.
Selection: Cody Ponce, rhp, Cal Poly Pomona
Keith Law (http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/draft/mock/?season=2015&version=4&source=Keith-Law-Mock-Draft)
- Yankees – Cornellius Randolph SS.
Yankees – DJ Stewart 1b/lf/dh

This one is both Callis and Mayo.
Callis: RHP James Kaprielian, UCLA
The Yankees jump on the college pitching train as well. They could be tempted by the right high school bat, such as Randolph or Whitley.
College pitchers are mentioned often in this spot, like Kaprielian of UCLA, but if the right bat is there for the Yanks, they might rather go in that direction.
30. Yankees (compensation for the loss of free agent David Robertson)
Callis: OF Nick Plummer, Brother Rice HS (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.)
The Yankees also like Everett and might consider him with their top choice at No. 16. Other considerations could include offensive-minded Wilson High (Long Beach, Calif.) catcher Chris Betts and Kentucky right-hander Kyle Cody.
Mayo: C Chris Betts, Wilson (Long Beach, Calif.) HS
There are a number of teams considering Betts and his offensive upside between the two Yanks picks. If there’s a team convinced he’ll catch long-term and fulfill those Brian McCanncomps, he might be gone by this point.
Fangraphs ( http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-final-mock-draft/ )
16. Yankees – Chris Betts, C, Wilson HS (CA)
I’ve heard the Yankees tied to bats, but college pitching is what’s on the board, so it would make sense if they pivot based on value to take a college arm.
30. Yankees – Nick Plummer, CF, Brother Rice HS (MI)
Plummer, Brady Singer, Donny Everett and Kyle Cody have all been tied here and Plummer is also a target of the Giants with the next pick along with the D’Backs at 43, while Cody and Singer could slide a bit farther and Everett could be an overpay at a later pick.
