Fleming, Frias Help Pulaski to Initial Victory

PULASKI, Va. – Billy Fleming had three hits and and Frank Frias and Matthew Duran two apiece as the Pulaski Yankees (1-2) scored their first Appalachian league victory Thursday night with an 8-2 win over the Danville Braves.

Lefty Nestor Cortes threw five solid innings in relief, allowing just an unearned run and striking out six. Righty Brody Koerner earned the win when the P-Yanks erupted for seven runs in the seventh inning before 1,571 fans.

Pulaski opens a weekend series in Elizabethton tonight.
