Fleming, Mikolas, Rosa, De La Rosa Star for Pulaski

Nathan Mikolas' fourth homer of the season produced Pulaski's lone run Saturday night.

BLUEFIELD, W.Va.  – Billy Fleming, now hitting .529, hit his first home run of the Appalachian League season and Nathan Mikolas, batting ,300, tripled, as the Pulaski Yankees (5-6) scored a 4-2 win over the Bluefield Blue Jays (5-6) Friday night.

Fleming’s blast in the top of the sixth, a two-run shot, put Tony Franklin’s team ahead for good before 1,325 fans at Bowen Field. Righty Adonis Rosa, who threw five innings, earned his second win of the season. Righty Simon De la Rosa tossed four innings of shutout relief to record his first save.

The two Pulaski pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts.

The teams will finish the three-game series with a Holiday contest at 4 p,m. Saturday at Calfee Park.
