Four-Run Seventh Boosts Pulaski

PULASKI, Va. – Right fielder Kendall Coleman, who had a pair of hits, and catcher Jesus Aparicio, with a pair of RBIs, helped the Pulaski Yankees (35-21) notch their seventh straight win Thursday night, a 4-2 triumph over the Elizabethton (30-25) Twins before 1,460 dans at Calfee Park.

A four-run seventh inning carried the Yankees to their 22nd win in 30 starts at home. Right-hander Simon De La Rosa improved to 5-2 with his second straight brilliant performance, striking out eight and walking in for innings of relief. He has 24 strikeouts vs. five walks in his last three appearances.

The Yankees, with a three-game lead in the Appalachian League East, host Elizabethton again at 7 Friday evening.
