From The Back Fields To The Bronx: Minor Leagues Are Back

We have a new podcast here at Pinstriped Prospects that is going to be solely based on the minor leagues. It is called From The Back Fields To The Bronx. Throughout the season, you will hear from our beat writers, the players, coaches, and much more. Plus, feel free to send in your questions about any prospects to be answered on the show.

For this week’s pilot episode, Ricky Keeler was joined by Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders beat writer Alex Kielar and Hudson Valley Renegades beat writer Steve Alhona. At first, they dive into what they took away from the initial roster of all four affiliates, including Estevan Florial starting the season at Double-A Somerset.

Then, they get into their thoughts on the first three games for each team. This includes Hudson Valley’s pitching staff picking up strikeouts, the versatility of Miguel Andujar in Scranton, the starting pitching in Somerset, and the Tampa offense scoring double-digit runs every game led by 2020 3rd Round pick, Trevor Hauver.

After discussing the expectations for Jasson Dominguez, the trio talks about the effects of six-game series this season and gives some bold predictions for this season, including one from Steve that involves the big league club.
