The Yankees took the game against the Pirates but it took until the 12th inning to do it. Really before then it was a pitching duel if you count guys who don’t strike out any players. The Yankees were poised to lose it but the bottom of the 12th happened. In the 12th inning they had given up a run to the Pirates. To start the inning they didn’t start off well. Austin Jones struck out then Austin Aune came in and walked. After that walk two more walks followed then a two base error gave the Yankees the win.
Hitting wise it wasn’t a great game for the Yankees as only two guys had hits today. Yeicok Calderon and Ausitn Aune were the only players get hits. Calderon went three for four today with a walk and a strike out. Aune went two for four today with a run and two strike outs.
The pitching wasn’t actually all that great either. Zach Nuding started his rehab well as he went two and a third innings today. He struck out three to one walk and a hit. It’s good that he is getting his way back to Tampa.
Graham Stoneburner continued his rehab by going one and two thirds today. He didn’t allow a hit or walk but also didn’t strike anyone out. All of his outs those were via the groundball.
The final pitcher was Kenedy Agramonte who went two innings today. He blew it but the offense picked him up so he ended up being the winning pitcher. He gave up three hits with one of them being a home run and two strikeouts.
