Jagielo’s Fire Bat Leads Tampa Yankees to Victory

Key Story:
As a team the Tampa Yankees did what Charleston couldn’t,  they hit better with runners in scoring position, well a little bit.  As a team they went three for fourteen compared to zero for fifteen.  Just like Charelston they had ten hits but this time they scored five runs instead of three.

Captain Clutch of the Game:
Eric Jagielo has started his breakout.  Since starting the season hit less in ten at bats Jagielo has been on fire and it has translated into extra base hits.  He went three for five on the day with a double and a homerun.  This is what the Yankees wanted to see when they aggressively promoted him to Tampa.

Golden Sombrero of the Day:
James Pazos came in for the final two innings of work and really put the game on the line.  He gave up two runs and let Clearwater back in.  Luckily he finished it off but relief pitching might not be a strength for Tampa for some time.

Up Next:
Wooten and his 1.8 ERA take the mound against Clearwater for the final game of this series.  First pitch is at 7:00 pm eastern time.
