PULASKI, Va. – Johnson City avenged Monday night’s walk-off loss to the Pulaski Yankees in a big way at Calfee Park Tuesday night, securing an 8-2 victory.
The Cardinals’ Paul DeJong got the Johnson City offense going with a two-run homer off Pulaski starter and loser Melvin Morta en route to a 7-0 lead after two innings.
Kane Sweeney had the inly RBI for the Yankees, who host Johnson City again Wednesday night at Calfee Park. Both teams are 3-4 in Appalachian League play.
