Judge Contributes To Scorpions

Prospect Aaron Judge remained a key player for the Scorpions, contributing a run in yesterday’s game against the Salt River Rafters. Judge played right field, connecting for one of his two at bats with two walks.
 
Greg Bird found himself at first base and offered two RBI’s, batting 1-4. Dante Bichette Jr. was the Scorpions designated hitter. He went 1-4 in his at bats with three RBI’s.
 
Prospects Alex Smith and Kyle Haynes pitched an inning apiece. Smith entered play in the bottom of the seventh. He faced five batters, giving up two hits. Haynes entered next, in the bottom of the eighth, where he faced six batters, earning one strike out and letting up one run, two hits, and two walks.
 
Judge’s run came in the top of the fifth inning. He first was walked and would eventually make it home after hit by prospects Bird and Bichette, who both singles on line drives.
 
Tonight the AFL will play their Fall Stars game at Salt River Fields. The game begins at 5:08 p.m.
