Prospect player, Aaron Judge connected for two homers in yesterday’s game again the Mesa Solar Sox. The Scorpions won 7-5, making Judge a key contributor to the game.
Judge played right field, having four at bats and connecting for two, and earning four RBI’s. Player Tyler Austin, who earned a run, batting 3-4, occupied left field. Greg Bird was the Scorpions designated hitter batting 2-2.
Prospect pitcher, Caleb Cotham, entered the game in the middle of the bottom of the fourth, pitching a total of 1.1 innings. In those innings he faced seven batters, earning one strike out and letting up three hits and one run.
Judge’s fist home run would come in the top of the fist inning. His first at bat he connected for a fly ball to left center field, also bringing home teammate Roman
The prospects would contribute again in the top of the fourth. Starting off the inning, Austin single on a ground ball to left field. Austin stole second, only to make it home after a triple by Quinn. Judge would earn his second homer in the same inning on a line drive to center field, bringing home Blake Miller with him.
The Scorpions return to play today at 12:35 against the Salt River Rafters. The game will begin at 12:35 MST with the Scorpions as the away team.
