Judge Offense Continues With Scorpions

Aaron Judge was a key player in the Scorpions game against the Glendale Dessert Dogs, scoring two runs in his four at bats.

Prospect, Greg Bird, batted 1-5, and contributed an RBI while playing as the Scorpions designated hitter, while Judge played right field.

Prospect pitcher, Alex Smith, entered the game in the middle of the top of the second. He pitched 2.1 innings, letting up three hits and one run.

Judge’s first run came in the bottom of the eighth inning. He was walked, but would eventually make it home after a hit by teammate, Elias Diaz.

In the bottom of the ninth, Judge singled on a ground ball. Bird was next at bat, and also singled on a line drive to center field, advancing Judge to third and bringing home Scorpions player, Brandon Nimmo. Judge earned his second run of the game after a hit by teammate Josh Bell.

The Scorpions play again tomorrow against the Peoria Javelinas. The game begins at 12:35 p.m. MST.
