Kuresa’s Homer Leads Elizabethton Past Pulaski

ELIZABETHTON, TENN. – Matthew Duran is hitting .375 for the Pulaski Yankees, but he got just one of three hits off Twins pitching Friday night in an Appalachian League game before 973 fans at Joe O’Brien Field.

The Twins (2-2) scored a 4-1 win over the Yankees (1-3), netting three runs off losing pitcher Jhon Morban in the first inning on a three-run homer by Tyler Kuresa, who hit his second of the young season.

Billy Fleming and Jose Javier each had singles for Puaski, which faces Elizabethton again at Joe O’Brien Field at 6 p.m. Saturday.
