The Yankees allowed three runs in the 8th inning and couldn’t rally with two runs in the ninth. As a team they had 6 hits in 31 at bats. With only two walks they struck out eight times, not a great ratio.
Jerison Lopez had the best day by going two for three. He also walked, scored a run and struck out.
Mikeson Oliberto only went one for four but this now makes a seven game hitting streak for the outfielder.
Daniel Camarena didn’t start the game but had the best performance. He went five innings and only allowed two hits. Four strikeouts to go along with three GO to three FO. Camarena also picked a guy off first base. Camarena hasn’t walked a batter during his pro debut so far, a very impressive feat.
Chaz Hebert got the lost by allowing three hits, two walks and three runs. He did strike out two batters in his inning along with a groundball out. This poor outing brought his ERA up to 2.74.
Tomorrow they will go to the Tigers complex for a noon eastern time. Only four games yet to the season.
