Key Story:
Charleston’s offense showed again for today. They had fifteen hits and six walks which led to six runs being scored. Now on the downside they did only go six for twenty with runners in scoring position which led to twelve guys being left on base. But six runs was enough for the victory.
Captain Clutch of the Game:
Tyler Wade brought it today as the DH as he went four for five. He had two doubles, two rbi’s and three runs scored to go along with a strike out. Those doubles were his first extra base hits on the year. Hopefully this heats him up as he was one of five aggressive promotions the Yankees made to this team.
Golden Sombrero of the Game:
Gosuke Katoh went hitless in three at bats. The good was he walked twice, the bad is he had three strikeouts. Not the way the 19 year old wanted to start his first pro season. This was an aggressive promotion by the Yankees. Hopefully it doesn’t hurt him.
Up Next:
Giovanny Gallegos goes for the Riverdogs tomorrow as he tries to get Charleston one game off of .500.
