Hi, what are you looking for?

One Day, Two Wins

Game One Yankees won ten to three.

The bats came alive in this game as Austin Jones continued his hot hitting as he went two for four on the day with a double.  David Remedios went two for three today with two runs score to go along with a walk and strikeout.   Mikeson Oliberto went two for three with a double with an RBI and a run.  Jorge Alcantara rounded out the players with multiple hits.  He went two for two today with a triple, two runs scored and two RBI’s.   Million dollar bonus baby Austin Aune started at shortstop today and went one for three with a run and RBI. A good debut for the 2012 player

On the pitching side it again was the day of rehabbing players.  David Aardsma continued his rehab as he went two innings of work giving up a hit to go along with two strikeouts.  Jeremy Bleich only went an inning and two thirds but struck out three during that time period.   Joseph Maher went three innings and gave up two earned runs while walking a batter.  Maher did have two strike outs to round out his day.

Game Two was a four to three win.

Jerison Lopez who went hitless in the first game went three for three in the same game.  He had a walk also to go along with a double.   Ericson Leonora played right field and went two for three.  Leonora had a walk and a strike out   Mikeson Oliberto had another two hits in this game.    He had a triple to go along with a run and two RBI’s.  2012 draftee Chris Breen made his debut behind the dish.  He went one for three on the day and was lifted later in the game.

Rookie Davis made his debut and pitched two and two thirds innings.  He struck out three to one walk while allowing two hits and one earned run.  Cesar Vargas pitched three innings also and struck out three people also.  He did give up five this and two earned runs.

I do wonder if Greg Bird is banged up a bit because he didn’t play in either games today.  Hopefully he is fine and plays tomorrow against the Pirates.
