Osborn Returns to Lead Tampa Tarpons In 2018

On Thursday, Pinstriped Prospects learned Pat Osborn would be returning to Tampa in 2018 to manage the recently renamed Tampa Tarpons. Osborn held the same position on the Tampa Yankees in 2016, leading them to a 79-56 record and bringing them to their first Florida State League Championship series since 2010.

Osborn is entering his fifth season with the New York Yankees, having managed the Gulf Coast League Yankees, Staten Island Yankees, and Charleston RiverDogs.  Prior to joining the Yankees, he spent three seasons as the manager of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the Atlantic League where he led the Blue Crabs to three consecutive post-season berths.

Overall, Osborn owns a career 290-178 record as a manager in the Yankees organization. In every season as a manager in affiliated-baseball, he has led his teams to a playoff berth.
