Pedrique Headed to Scranton After One Season in Trenton

After one season as the Manager of the Trenton Thunder, Al Pedrique confirmed to Pinstriped Prospects on Tuesday morning that he will continue his ascent up the organizational ladder and manage the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRiders in 2016.

“I will be managing in Scranton next year,” Pedrique said.

Pedrique led the Thunder to a 71-71 record and a third place finish in the Eastern League’s Eastern Division in his lone season at the helm.

The 55-year old former big-league infielder and manager is entering his fourth season with the Yankees organization and has progressively moved up each level of the system after beginning with the Low-A Charleston RiverDogs in 2013. Pedrique has compiled a 217-202 record over that span.
