Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple A)

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders dropped their fourth contest in five games to the Syracuse Chiefs by a score of 10-3. Ji-Man Choi put the RailRiders on the board in the fourth inning with an RBI sacrifice fly. Down 10-1, Clint Frazier crushed a two-run dinger in the sixth. Rob Refsnyder extended his 14-game hitting streak with a single in the fourth inning. Tyler Jones, J.R. Graham and Ernesto Frieri retired the final 12 batters of the game after starter Luis Cessa permitted nine runs (eight earned), ten hits and three walks.

Trenton Thunder (Double A)

Thunder starter Ronald Herrera and Jake Cave led Trenton to a 5-2 victory over the Harrisburg Senators. Herrera tossed seven innings of one run baseball. He struck out five, walked two and permitted five hits. Cave paced the offense by scoring two runs, driving in one and falling a home run shy of the cycle. Thairo Estrada also extended his hitting streak to 13 games in the contest.

Tampa Yankees (Single A Advanced)

Zach Littell earned his third win of the season as the Tampa Yankees demolished the Clearwater Threshers by a score of 11-5. Jorge Mateo led the Yankees offense by going 4-for-6 with two home runs, a double, two runs scored and two runs batted in. Trey Amburgey, Nick Solak, Jhalan Jackson and Wes Wilson also recorded multi-hit games. Toto Polo, Solak, and Amburgey all homered and either scored or drove in two or more runs.

Charleston RiverDogs (Single A)

The RiverDogs lost a rain-shortened series finale against the Hickory Crawdads 2-1. Charleston scored their lone run in the fourth inning when Blake Rutherford doubled and came around to score on a Donny Sands single. Sands went 2-for-2 in the contest.
