Pinstriped Performances – Tuesday, September 6, 2016

Check out the top performances across the New York Yankees farm system in the latest edition of Pinstriped Performances.

Jordan Foley, RP, Tampa Yankees (Single A Advanced): Foley tossed three perfect innings of relief in Tampa’s 2-1 extra-inning victory over the Dunedin Blue Jays in game one of the opening round of the Florida State League playoffs. He struck out six and induced three ground-outs to zero fly-outs. Jordan threw 27 out of 42 pitches for strikes.

Gleyber Torres, SS, Tampa Yankees (Single A Advanced): Torres went 2-5 with two doubles and a walk. His second double came in the top of the 13th inning on a line drive to Dunedin left fielder D.J. Davis.  Davis committed a fielding error on the play allowing Thairo Estrada to score from first. This proved to be the go-ahead winning run for Tampa.
