All seven Yankees affiliates took to the field on Thursday for a total of eight games, including blowout wins for the RailRiders and Tarpons and a tough twin bill for the Renegades.

Armando Alvarez (Matt Bufano)
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (40-21): Arguably the RailRiders’ two best hitters, Hoy Jun Park and Trey Amburgey, received the call Thursday – so their teammates went out and celebrated with an 11-3 shellacking of Worcester.
- Star of the Game: Armando Alvarez – 2-for-5, 1 double, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored. Alvarez provided some big blows with a two-run single in the first and an RBI double in the third

- Andrew Velazquez: 2-for-5, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Asher Wojciechowski: 4 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K, 60 pitches (43 strikes). Wojciechowski picked up a save in this blowout, but it was absolutely earned in his best performance by far as a Yankee farmhand

Somerset Patriots (40-22): The Patriots and Flying Squirrels went into extra innings for the second straight night, but this time it was the visiting team that emerged victorious, 6-5.
- Star of the Game: Oswald Peraza – 2-for-4, 1 triple, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk. Peraza is getting it done these days, with his eighth-inning triple bringing Somerset within a run and setting him up to score from third on Oswaldo Cabrera’s sacrifice fly to tie the game
