Scranton sits three games back of the Bulls for a spot in the postseason – and in two days, they travel to Durham to begin a pivotal six-game set. Tampa’s playoff hopes took a hit, while Hudson Valley and Brooklyn remain in a dead heat.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (69-59): The RailRiders finished off the Mets with a 5-1 win, and the coming week may very well make or break their season.

Somerset Patriots (76-48): The Patriots lost an extra-inning contest in Binghamton, 5-4, before traveling to Hartford to close out the regular season.

Hudson Valley Renegades (69-56): The Renegades slumped to a 6-1 loss to Jersey Shore, and enter their final regular-season series against Wilmington a half-game back of a playoff spot.

  • Star of the Game: Trevor Holloway – 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 20 pitches (13 strikes). The 25-year-old undrafted signing has allowed two earned runs in three appearances with HV this year

  • Grant Richardson: 1-for-4, 1 RBI, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base

Tampa Tarpons (60-63): After days of issues with the rain, the Tarpons stumbled badly in a crucial Sunday twin bill, losing both legs to Dunedin by 7-3 and 5-4 scores. With just six games remaining in the season, Tampa trails the Blue Jays by 2.5 games.

  • Star of the Game: Anthony Garcia – 2-for-3, 1 home run (14), 1 RBI, 2 runs scored. Garcia homered 10 times over April and May, but has gone deep just four times since then

  • Zach Messinger: 4.2 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 82 pitches (54 strikes). Messinger fell to 1-8 with the loss
