In easily the wildest game of the season thus far, the Tarpons overcame seven errors to walk it off. Ken Waldichuk impressed again for Somerset.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (4-5): The RailRiders, losers of five in a row, were granted a respite from Norfolk by a rainout. They’ll play a doubleheader for Easter.

Somerset Patriots (5-3): The Patriots dominated the SeaWolves with strong pitching and three home runs, blanking Erie 6-0.
- Star of the Game: Ken Waldichuk – 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 9 K, 63 pitches (47 strikes). An efficient, impressive outing for the 24-year-old lefty, who has struck out 16 and walked just two through 10 innings
- Anthony Volpe: 1-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 stolen base
- Elijah Dunham: 1-for-2, 1 home run (2), 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout. Dunham pushed his OPS over 1.000 thanks to a first-inning homer
- Andres Chaparro: 1-for-4, 1 home run (1), 2 RBI, 1 run scored. Chaparro collected his first bomb of the year after hitting 15 last season
- Blake Perkins: 2-for-4, 1 home run (1), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Barrett Loseke: 2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K, 41 pitches (27 strikes)
- Derek Craft: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 33 pitches (22 strikes)

Hudson Valley Renegades (4-4): A late rally fell just short as the Renegades dropped a 3-2 contest against Rome.
- Star of the Game: Will Warren – 4.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K, 72 pitches (53 strikes). Warren got no help from his offense, but put in a solid effort and has impressed with 10 strikeouts in his first eight professional innings
- Trey Sweeney: 1-for-4, 1 RBI, 3 strikeouts
- Everson Pereira: 2-for-4, 2 strikeouts. Another multi-hit game for Pereira – make that four out of the first seven games this season
- TJ Rumfield: 1-for-4, 1 double, 2 strikeouts. Rumfield has already amassed six extra-base hits: four doubles and two home runs
- Tanner Myatt: 0.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 14 pitches (7 strikes)
- Nelson L. Alvarez: 2 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 32 pitches (18 strikes)
- Welington Diaz: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 0 K, 11 pitches (6 strikes)

Tampa Tarpons (5-3): This game had just about everything. The Tarpons jumped ahead 3-0, then fell behind 7-3, then worked their way back despite a comedy of errors and finally won in walk-off fashion, 8-7 over Dunedin.
- Star of the Game: Benjamin Cowles – 3-for-5, 1 triple, 2 RBI. Cowles started the rally from four runs down with a triple in the sixth, then drove in the game-winning run with two outs in the ninth
- Alex Vargas: 4-for-5, 2 doubles, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 stolen base. On any other night, Vargas, who finally broke out of an early-season slumber, is probably Star of the Game
- Jasson Dominguez: 2-for-5, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored
- Madison Santos: 2-for-4, 2 doubles, 3 runs scored, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts, 2 stolen bases. Santos started the ninth-inning rally with a two-out double, then came around to score on Cowles’ base hit
- Josue Panacual: 3.1 IP, 3 H, 4 R (1 ER), 2 BB, 3 K, 63 pitches (35 strikes)
- Trevor Holloway: 1.1 IP, 2 H, 3 R (0 ER), 2 BB, 2 K, 40 pitches (19 strikes)
- Danny Watson: 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K, 39 pitches (29 strikes). Watson, last year’s 15th-round selection, hasn’t allowed a run through three appearances so far in 2022
- Jack Neely: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K, 34 pitches (25 strikes). Neely has an amazing 10 punchouts in just 4.1 innings and took home a well-deserved win for this effort
