The system’s #9 prospect is heating up as the rookie-league season enters its final stages.

FCL Yankees (30-12): The Yanks put up five runs in the fourth inning and held on for an 8-5 defeat of the host Tigers.

  • Star of the Game: Beau Brewer – 2-for-4, 1 double, 3 RBI, 1 run scored. This year’s 19th-round pick is 3 for his first 9 as a pro
  • Spencer Jones: 1-for-3, 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 stolen base
  • Agustin Ramirez: 1-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
  • Brenny Escanio: 2-for-3, 2 doubles, 1 RBI, 1 run scored
  • Luis Serna: 3.1 IP, 3 H, 5 R (2 ER), 4 BB, 2 K
  • Nolberto Henriquez: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K. Henriquez was the winning pitcher
  • Leam Mendez: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K. Mendez locked down his fourth save

DSL Yankees (22-24): Roderick Arias stole the show with a grand slam as the Yanks trounced Guardians Blue, 10-1.

  • Star of the Game: Roderick Arias – 1-for-3, 1 home run (3), 4 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 walks, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base. In addition to hitting a home run for the second consecutive game, Arias also stole his seventh base of the season
  • Ramiro Altagracia: 2-for-4, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base
  • Manuel Palencia: 2-for-4, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 stolen base
  • Carlos Lagrange: 4 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K. Lagrange put together his fifth scoreless outing of the year
  • Donys Garcia: 3 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K. Garcia is 7-0 after Monday’s win
  • Jordy Luciano: 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K

DSL Bombers (24-23): The Bombers couldn’t quite battle all the way back from a five-run deficit and lost at home to Royals Glass, 8-7.

  • Star of the Game: Enmanuel Tejeda – 1-for-4, 1 triple, 1 RBI. Tejeda leads the team, and is tied for sixth in the DSL, with his five triples
  • Engelth Urena: 1-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored. Urena made his second career appearance and first since June 6, when he homered in his first pro plate appearance
  • Joel Mendez: 1-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts
  • Enger Castellano: 2-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
  • Luis Ogando: 1-for-2, 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 stolen base
  • Daniel Guerrero: 1.1 IP, 3 H, 5 ER, 4 BB, 2 K. Guerrero dropped to 1-4 with the loss
  • Chalniel Arias: 4 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
  • Ruben Castillo: 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
