It was a Friday to forget for Yankees affiliates. Tampa managed a doubleheader split for the organization’s only win, and none of the teams scored more than four runs.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (59-43): Scranton fell another game further behind Buffalo as a result of a narrow 1-0 defeat.
- Star of the Game: Luis Gil – 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 9 K, 78 pitches (55 strikes). Gil was back in a starter’s role on Friday and seems to be thriving no matter what position he’s in, or what team he’s playing for
- Donny Sands: 1-for-4, 1 strikeout
- Socrates Brito: 1-for-4, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base
- Max Burt: 2-for-3, 2 doubles
- Michael King: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K, 22 pitches (18 strikes)
- Braden Bristo: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 22 pitches (10 strikes)
- Adam Warren: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 12 pitches (7 strikes)


Somerset Patriots (61-44): Bowie buried the Patriots with six early runs en route to a 6-3 win.
- Star of the Game: Josh Breaux – 2-for-3, 1 home run (6), 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Breaux is slugging .549 at Double-A and has 23 total home runs this season
- Isiah Gilliam: 1-for-4, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Chad Bell: 1-for-4, 1 home run (3), 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts. Bell’s two-run shot in the seventh brought the Patriots within three runs, but it would be as close as they would get
- Shawn Semple: 3 IP, 5 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, 6 K, 81 pitches (47 strikes)
- Michael Gomez: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K, 43 pitches (28 strikes)
- Barrett Loseke: 2.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K, 41 pitches (27 strikes)


Hudson Valley Renegades (63-42): The ‘Gades have had their hands full this week with Greensboro. The Grasshoppers picked up another win on Friday, 3-2.
- Star of the Game: Andres Chaparro – 2-for-3, 1 home run (3), 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Chaparro provided all of the Hudson Valley offense with a bases-loaded walk and a solo home run
- Everson Pereira: 0-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, 2 stolen bases
- Austin Wells: 2-for-4, 2 strikeouts
- Beck Way: 4.2 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 8 K, 83 pitches (58 strikes). Way got his whiffs, but was bitten by the long ball, serving up two home runs on the night
- Nelvin Correa: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K, 28 pitches (14 strikes)
- Charlie Ruegger: 1.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K, 32 pitches (21 strikes)
- Edgar Barclay: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 12 pitches (8 strikes)


Tampa Tarpons (68-36): The Tarpons and Marauders split a doubleheader, with Bradenton winning the first game 3-1 and Tampa taking the second 4-1.

- Star of the Game: Nicio Rodriguez – 5 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 9 K, 77 pitches (52 strikes). The 22-year-old right-hander has completed five innings in back-to-back starts and set a season high for strikeouts on Friday
- Tyler Hardman: 1-for-3, 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
- Benjamin Cowles: 1-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 strikeout
- Evan Alexander: 2-for-3, 1 strikeout
- Harold Cortijo: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R (0 ER), 1 BB, 1 K, 18 pitches (9 strikes)
Game 2
- Star of the Game: Benjamin Cowles – 1-for-3, 1 home run (4), 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts. Tampa scored five runs over the entire twin bill, and Cowles drove in four of them
- Pitching Star of the Game: Blane Abeyta – 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 9 K, 81 pitches (56 strikes). This was by far Abeyta’s finest performance of the season
- Jasson Dominguez: 2-for-3, 1 double
- Anthony Garcia: 1-for-3, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Juan De Leon: 1-for-3, 1 home run (9), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. De Leon’s solo blast was an impressive opposite-field shot at 406 feet
- Wellington Diaz: 1 IP, 0 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, 34 pitches (14 strikes)
DSL Yankees 1 (19-17): The Yankees lost to host Phillies Red 4-2.
- Star of the Game: Luis Serna – 5 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K. The 17-year-old Mexican has a record of 0-3, but that belies a 1.37 ERA and an impressive 28:11 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 26.2 innings
- Hans Montero: 2-for-4, 1 strikeout
- Fidel Montero: 2-for-3, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
- Christopher Familia: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI
- Geralmi Santana: 3 IP, 1 H, 2 R (1 ER), 2 BB, 1 K
DSL Yankees 2 (18-18): The Yanks were blanked by the Rockies 9-0.
- Star of the Game: Ronny Rojas – 3-for-3. Rojas was one of two Yankees with multiple hits, and the team as a whole did not record an extra-base hit

- Osmany Fleitas: 1-for-3, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base
