It was all about the big inning for the active full-season affiliates on Tuesday – when the runs came, they came in bunches.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (46-48): Scranton scored six runs in the fourth inning and went on to dust Rochester 12-5 in the series opener.
- Star of the Game: Ben Rortvedt – 2-for-5, 1 home run (1), 3 RBI, 3 runs scored, 2 strikeouts. A long-forgotten piece in the infamous offseason trade with Minnesota, Rortvedt opened his Yankees homer account in the third inning Tuesday
- Oswald Peraza: 2-for-5, 1 home run (13), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base. Peraza continued his July tear and his hitting streak has reached seven games; he’s homered three times over its course
- Oswaldo Cabrera: 2-for-5, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base
- Ronald Guzman: 4-for-5, 2 doubles, 3 RBI, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
- Armando Alvarez: 4-for-5, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored
- Ken Waldichuk: 2.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 56 pitches (38 strikes). Waldichuk hasn’t been able to get out of the third inning his last two starts, and he hasn’t completed six innings since June 11
- Emmanuel Ramirez: 1 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 1 K, 31 pitches (16 strikes)
- Jose Mujica: 3.1 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 37 pitches (27 strikes). Mujica recorded his second win
- Carlos Espinal: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 23 pitches (15 strikes)
Somerset Patriots (56-34): The Patriots and Flying Squirrels were rained out in Virginia. The two teams will play a twin bill on Thursday.


Hudson Valley Renegades (49-41): A six-spot in the first inning powered the Renegades to a big 10-1 win over the visiting Cyclones in the first game of the High-A Subway Series.
- Star of the Game: Grant Richardson – 2-for-4, 1 home run (1), 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 strikeouts. Richardson’s three-run bomb in the first inning was his first home run at the High-A level
- Anthony Seigler: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
- Jasson Dominguez: 2-for-5, 1 triple, 2 RBI, 2 strikeouts. Dominguez has hit safely in his first four High-A games and is 7-for-17 over that span
- Pat DeMarco: 3-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored
- Yoendrys Gomez: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 41 pitches (27 strikes)
- Blane Abeyta: 4.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 K, 62 pitches (40 strikes). Abeyta improved to 4-6 with the win in long relief
- Edgar Barclay: 3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 37 pitches (29 strikes). Barclay notched his first save thanks to the length of his outing4


Tampa Tarpons (42-46): All locked up with Fort Myers at two apiece heading into extras, the Tarpons put up five runs in the top of the 10th inning to pull away for a 7-2 win.
- Star of the Game: Antonio Gomez – 3-for-5, 1 double, 4 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts. Gomez doubled home the go-ahead runs in the 10th, and is 9-for-15 during his four-game hitting streak
- Andres Chaparro: 2-for-3, 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 stolen base
- Benjamin Cowles: 1-for5, 2 RBI, 1 run scored
- Zach Messinger: 4.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K, 62 pitches (38 strikes)
- Ryan Anderson: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 28 pitches (21 strikes)
- Trevor Holloway: 2.1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 39 pitches (23 strikes). Holloway blew a save by allowing the tying runs to score in the bottom of the ninth
- Zach Kohn: 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 16 pitches (13 strikes). Kohn’s clean 10th earned him a win
FCL Yankees (24-8): The Blue Jays-Yankees game was suspended in the top of the sixth with the Jays up 5-3. It will resume tomorrow.
DSL Yankees (17-19): The Yanks ran past Astros Orange, 9-4.
- Star of the Game: Santiago Gomez – 1-for-2, 1 home run (3), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout, 2 stolen bases. The Mexico City native is slugging .667 this month
- David Beckles: 2-for-4, 2 runs scored, 1 walk
- Jhon Imbert: 2-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout, 2 stolen bases
- Johan Ferreira: 1-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base
- Wilfrido Bido: 4.2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 0 K
- Michael Peres: 2 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 3 K. Despite a shaky outing, Peres moved to 2-1 with a win
- Jan Pena: 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. Pena picked up a long save, his third of the season
DSL Bombers (20-17): It was a day of high drama for the Bombers, who rallied with three runs in the ninth inning to earn a shock walk-off, 6-5 win over the Braves.
- Star of the Game: John Cruz – 1-for-1, 1 home run (4), 2 RBI, 1 run scored. Pinch-hitting for Juan Rosa with one out in the bottom of the ninth, the 16-year-old came through with a massive two-run home run to win the game for the hosts
- Enmanuel Tejeda: 1-for-3, 1 home run (3), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 stolen base
- Joel Mendez: 2-for-3, 1 home run (3), 1 double, 1 RBI, 3 runs scored, 1 walk
- Johan Contreras: 3-for-4, 2 RBI. Contreras singled home Joel Mendez in the ninth to bring the Bombers within one
- Hansel Rosario: 3 IP, 2 H, 2 R (1 ER), 3 BB, 5 K
- Chalniel Arias: 3.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K
- Rafaelin Nivar: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 3 R (0 ER), 3 BB, 1 K
- Pedro Rodriguez: 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 2 K. Rodriguez got the win to improve to 2-1
