Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (51-49): In the first game of a crucial series, Buffalo pitching silenced the Scranton bats in a 4-0 loss for the RailRiders.

  • Oswald Peraza: 1-for-3, 1 walk

Somerset Patriots (60-36): The Patriots blew an 8-4 lead, tied the game in the bottom of the ninth, and then went on to lose to Binghamton 14-9 in extras after committing four errors.

  • Star of the Game: Blake Perkins – 3-for-5, 2 home runs (10), 5 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 strikeout. Perkins hadn’t homered since April 29, and Tuesday was his second multi-homer game of the year; he also drove home the tying run in the ninth with a single

Hudson Valley Renegades (51-45): The ‘Gades opened their week on the right foot, easily defeating Jersey Shore 8-2.

  • Star of the Game: Carlos Narvaez – 2-for-4, 1 home run (9), 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Narvaez hit a solo home run to lead off a three-run eighth inning
  • Trey Sweeney: 1-for-3, 1 home run (11), 2 RBI, 3 runs scored, 2 walks. Sweeney went yard just twice in July
  • Jasson Dominguez: 2-for-4, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts
  • Pat DeMarco: 2-for-5, 1 RBI, 1 run scored
  • Eduardo Torrealba: 1-for-5, 1 home run (2), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
  • Yoendrys Gomez: 2.1 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 47 pitches (27 strikes)
  • Nelson L. Alvarez: 3.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 40 pitches (26 strikes). Alvarez got the win for his excellent long relief outing

Kyle Battle (John Brophy / Pinstriped Prospects)

Tampa Tarpons (46-49): Tampa pitching was rocked for 17 hits in a 9-1 loss to Clearwater.

  • Star of the Game: Kyle Battle – 3-for-4, 1 double, 1 run scored, 2 stolen bases. Battle has swiped 12 bags
  • Antonio Gomez: 1-for-5, 1 RBI, 3 strikeouts
  • Tyrone Yulie: 3.1 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 74 pitches (47 strikes). Yulie took his third loss
  • Ryan Anderson: 2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 35 pitches (23 strikes)
  • Enrique Santana: 0.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R (0 ER), 1 BB, 1 K, 14 pitches (8 strikes)
  • Trevor Holloway: 3 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 41 pitches (26 strikes)

FCL Yankees (26-12): The Yankees-Phillies matchup was suspended in the bottom of the first inning with no score. It will be resumed one week from today.

DSL Yankees (20-22): The Yanks lost to Mets 2 by a 3-2 scoreline.

  • Star of the Game: David Beckles – 2-for-3, 1 home run (5), 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Beckles has homered in consecutive games for the second time this season

DSL Bombers (23-20): The Bombers demolished Cubs Blue 21-3, racking up 14 hits and walking 12 times.

  • Star of the Game: Edinson Duran – 4-for-5, 2 home runs (5), 2 doubles, 5 RBI, 5 runs scored, 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. Edinson Ohtani? A ridiculous career night for the Bombers’ first baseman, who accumulated 12 total bases and then came in to pitch once the game was out of hand
  • Joel Mendez: 3-for-5, 1 double, 5 RBI, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base. Mendez matched Duran for the game-high RBI total
  • Juan Rosa: 2-for-2, 1 home run (3), 2 RBI, 5 runs scored, 3 walks
  • Oscar Silverio: 2-for-3, 1 double, 2 RBI, 3 runs scored, 1 walk
  • Daniel Guerrero: 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K
  • Domingo Feliz: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 1 K. Feliz earned the win despite being the only pitcher to give up runs
