As has been the pattern in Florida, Tampa had an abbreviated game in Daytona due to inclement weather, and Hudson Valley’s was cancelled in Wilmington as a result of rain, ending both seasons a bit short, while Scranton’s offense essentially made up for the aforementioned teams’ cancelled games.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (73-61): Scranton had monster offensive 1st and 9th innings, totaling 9 runs between the two innings, leading to a commanding 14-2 win. The win puts Scranton 1.5 games back from Durham in the East Division of the International League, tied for 2nd place with Jacksonville.

- Star of the Game: Ryan LaMarre: 2-for-3, 1 home run (3), 3 RBI, 3 runs scored. LaMarre added some insurance runs with a two-run homer in the ninth
- Star of the Game: Armando Alvarez: 3-for-5, 2 home runs (16, 17), 1 RBI, 3 runs scored. Alvarez is still second on the team, and first among current players, in home runs… but inched closer to Oswald Peraza’s 19 HRs today.
- Chris Owings: 2-for-4, 1 home run (6), 2 runs scored, 2 RBI, 1 strikeout.
- Rob Brantly: 2-for-5, 2 RBI, 1 HBP, 1 strikeout
- Anthony Volpe: 0-for-6, 3 strikeouts. Volpe went 0-for-10 this weekend in Durham.
- Jhony Brito: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 18 pitches (10 strikes). Brito pitched a perfect opening inning for SWB.
- Sean Boyle: 5 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 8 K, 84 pitches (52 strikes) Boyle allowed the only runs to Durham of the SWB pitchers.
- Richard Rodriguez: 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 28 pitches (18 strikes)
Somerset Patriots (81-48): Hartford hosted Somerset and a majority of the Yankees’ IL squad and beat the Patriots 8-7 despite a 6-run 4th for Somerset. Aroldis Chapman, Zack Britton and Miguel Castro each threw an inning for the Pats.


- Star of the Game: Trey Sweeney – 2-for-5, 1 double (1), 2 runs scored. Sweeney batted 4-for-10 with 3 runs scored this weekend.
- Harrison Bader: 1-for-3, 1 run scored, 1 walk. Harrison Bader made his Yankees system debut as DH today
- Andres Chaparro: 1-for-3, 2 RBI. Chaparro has a 6-game hitting streak dating to 9/4 @ Binghamton and is batting .478 in that span (11-for-23).
- Austin Wells: 2-for-4, 1 walk. Harrison Bader made his Yankees system debut as DH today
- Jesus Bastidas: 1-for-5, 1 home run (17), 2 RBI, 3 strikeouts. Bastidas is catching up to Somerset’s HR leader, Anthony Volpe, who had 18 before being promoted.
- Mickey Gasper: 1-for-3, 1 run scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout.
- Will Warren: 2.1 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 2 BB, 2 K, 68 pitches (42 strikes). Warren was given the loss and is now 7-5.
- Aroldis Chapman: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 16 pitches (10 strikes). Chapman pitched yet another clean inning on rehab (3rd rehab appearance with Somerset this year).
- Zack Britton: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 16 pitches (10 strikes). Britton pitched his 2nd perfect inning on rehab in 10 days.
- Miguel Castro: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K, 7 pitches (4 strikes). Castro threw in a game today for the first time in 2 months.
Hudson Valley Renegades (71-59): The Renegades had their game rained out in Wilmington, DE, putting an abrupt end to their season. They will not make the SAL playoffs.
Tampa Tarpons (61-65): Tampa played all of 4 innings today in Daytona, ending their playoff chances and their historic season. The game ended in a tie, 2-2.


- Tayler Aguilar: 1-for-1, 1 home run (4), 1 walk
- Alexander Vargas: 1-for-2, 1 run scored
- Beau Brewer: 1-for-1
- Tyrone Yulie: 3.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 6 K, 46 pitches (35 strikes). Yulie capped off the season for Tampa pitching after having been their season opener starter.
