It’s been a great first season of Yankees-affiliated baseball up in Fishkill, but it won’t end with postseason action. Elsewhere, Somerset moved into a tie atop Double-A Northeast.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (65-48): A pulsating encounter saw the RailRiders tie the score in the top of the eighth, then surrender four runs in the bottom half to lose 9-5 at Lehigh Valley.
- Star of the Game: Chris Gittens – 1-for-3, 1 home run (13), 4 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Gittens tied the score for the first time in the third inning with a three-run home run, then hit a sac fly to tie the score again two innings later

Somerset Patriots (71-45): The Patriots drubbed Akron 10-4 to tie the RubberDucks for first place, and with Bowie’s loss, they’d be in the playoffs if the season ended today.
- Star of the Game: Jesus Bastidas – 3-for-5, 2 home runs (5), 1 double, 6 RBI, 2 runs scored. A career day for Bastidas, who has an impressive .965 OPS after skipping over High-A to get to Somerset
- Brandon Lockridge: 2-for-4, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base
- Oswaldo Cabrera: 1-for-5, 1 home run (23), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 3 strikeouts. Cabrera has 23 homers this season, more than half of his career total
- Dermis Garcia: 2-for-4, 1 home run (30), 1 RBI, 3 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Garcia added to his system-leading home run total
- Mickey Gasper: 3-for-4, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored
- Randy Vasquez: 5.2 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 81 pitches (51 strikes)
- Kevin Gadea: 2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 36 pitches (20 strikes)

Hudson Valley Renegades (69-48): With a 5-2 loss to Greensboro, the Renegades were eliminated from playoff contention on Thursday.

- Pitching Star of the Game: Clay Aguilar – 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K, 65 pitches (48 strikes). After a long-awaited and much-deserved promotion, Aguilar dazzled in his first outing at High-A

Tampa Tarpons (72-41): Tampa’s game against Fort Myers was suspended in the top of the first, and the second game was cancelled outright. Bradenton also lost to Lakeland, solidifying the Tarpons’ hold on the top playoff seed.


FCL Yankees (34-16): The Yankees easily defeated Tigers West 9-3.
- Star of the Game: Raimfer Salinas – 1-for-4, 1 home run (5), 3 RBI, 1 run scored. Salinas hit a three-run shot in the bottom of the first inning
- Grant Richardson: 2-for-3, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk

- Agustin Ramirez: 3-for-3, 1 home run (3), 1 double, 1 RBI, 3 runs scored, 1 walk

DSL Yankees 1 (26-21): The Yanks prevailed in a close battle with Mets 1, winning 6-5.
- Star of the Game: Hans Montero – 1-for-3, 2 RBI, 2 walks, 2 strikeouts. Montero’s two-run single in the eighth put the Yanks up by three
- Manuel Palencia: 2-for-4, 1 RBI, 1 run scored
- Christopher Familia: 1-for-3, 2 RBI, 1 run scored

DSL Yankees 2 (23-24): The Yanks gave up a run in the final inning to drop the contest to Orioles 2, 5-4.
