The Yankees are kings of the Florida Complex League in 2022, officially marking the end of the rookie-ball season. Hudson Valley kept the good times rolling after Saturday’s laugher, and a slugfest of a doubleheader played out in Omaha.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (64-58): Scranton’s playoff hopes took a huge hit as they were swept 9-4 and 12-10 by the Storm Chasers, dropping them three games behind the East Division leaders in the loss column.

Somerset Patriots (73-46): The Patriots only scored in one inning, but it was more than enough as an eight-run outburst in the fourth led them to an 8-1 win over New Hampshire.
- Star of the Game: Austin Wells – 1-for-3, 1 home run (9), 4 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Wells’ grand slam with two outs was the most notable event in Somerset’s big inning
- Andres Chaparro: 2-for-4, 2 doubles, 1 run scored

Hudson Valley Renegades (66-53): The ‘Gades defeated Hickory 9-7 to close out the week with five straight wins, but they’re still just a half-game up on the Cyclones, who swept their six-game set with Jersey Shore.
- Star of the Game: Carlos Narvaez – 1-for-3, 1 triple, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Narvaez’s triple cleared the bases in the bottom of the first
- Trey Sweeney: 1-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts
- Kyle Battle: 2-for-3, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 2 stolen bases

Tampa Tarpons (58-60): A masterpiece from the pitching staff and some well-timed offense were all the Tarpons needed in a 6-1 win over Clearwater, and Tampa is now just a game back of Dunedin in the loss column heading into a showdown with the Blue Jays this coming week.
- Star of the Game: Christopher Familia – 1-for-4, 1 double, 4 RBI, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base. Familia hit a run-scoring sac fly in the fourth, then had a bases-clearing double with one out in the seventh to put the game firmly out of reach
- Marcos Cabrera: 1-for-3, 1 run scored, 2 walks, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base
- Ben Rice: 2-for-4, 2 runs scored, 1 walk
- Brett Barrera: 2-for-5, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored

FCL Yankees: After a heartbreaker Saturday night, the Yanks held on to close out the Rays 4-3 and secure their first championship since 2017.
- Star of the Game: Brenny Escanio – 1-for-3, 2 RBI, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Escanio walked in the first inning to drive in the Yanks’ first run, then gave them the lead for good in the seventh with a run-scoring single
