The weather seems about the only thing that can stop the FCL Yankees these days, as half a twin bill on Monday was wiped out but the Baby Bombers won the other half.
FCL Yankees (24-8): The Yanks came back to beat the Phillies 3-2 in eight innings. A nightcap was suspended in the sixth inning with the score tied at one, and will be resumed on August 1.
- Star of the Game: Leam Mendez – 2 IP, 1 H, 1 R (0 ER), 0 BB, 4 K. Mendez closed out the game to earn his first win of the year, and the 22-year-old Cuban hasn’t allowed an earned run in his last three appearances

- Andres Chaparro: 1-for-4, 1 RBI, 2 strikeouts. Chaparro is working his way back to action after missing nearly two months

DSL Yankees (16-19): The Yanks were clobbered by visiting Pirates Gold, 10-1.

DSL Bombers (19-17): The Bombers suffered a walk-off, 10-inning loss at the hands of host Astros Orange, 3-2.
