After Hudson Valley and Brooklyn split the first four games of their crucial rivalry series, the ‘Gades emerged with the upper hand over the weekend. The Patriots bats came alive as they bashed the Baysox.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (61-55): Scranton’s playoff hopes suffered a blow on Sunday as they blew an eighth-inning lead and lost 5-4 to St. Paul in 10 innings.
- Star of the Game: Max McDowell – 2-for-4, 1 home run (2), 4 RBI, 1 run scored. McDowell was the RailRiders’ entire offense on Sunday, blasting a three-run home run in the second inning and driving in another run in the sixth
- Oswald Peraza: 2-for-5, 2 strikeouts, 2 stolen bases
- Phillip Evans: 2-for-4, 2 runs scored

Somerset Patriots (69-44): A big day for Anthony Volpe and the rest of the offense carried Somerset to an easy 13-3 win over Bowie.
- Star of the Game: Anthony Volpe – 3-for-4, 1 home run (17), 1 triple, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 2 stolen bases. Volpe stuffed the stat sheet as he came a double shy of the cycle and picked up his 41st and 42nd stolen bases
- Austin Wells: 1-for-4, 1 home run (6), 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Wells has homered on the last three Sundays
- Andres Chaparro: 1-for-5, 1 home run (13), 3 RBI, 1 run scored. Make that five home runs in nine games for Chaparro
- Jesus Bastidas: 1-for-5, 1 home run (15), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Clayton Beeter: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 63 pitches (41 strikes)

Hudson Valley Renegades (61-52): The ‘Gades broke open a tight contest with a six-run outburst in the 10th inning for a 9-3 win in the game and a 4-2 win in the series, solidifying their hold on first place for the second half.
- Star of the Game: Aaron Palensky – 1-for-3, 1 home run (8), 4 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout. Palensky struck the big blow with a grand slam in the 10th to put the game firmly out of reach
- Trey Sweeney: 2-for-5, 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 2 stolen bases
- Jasson Dominguez: 3-for-5, 2 doubles, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base

- TJ Rumfield: 2-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts. Rumfield’s RBI double broke the 3-3 deadlock

Tampa Tarpons (54-58): Tampa topped Bradenton 7-4 in the day’s regularly scheduled game, then dropped the rescheduled contest 3-2 to finish up the week two games behind the Marauders for a playoff spot.

- Star of the Game: Tayler Aguilar – 1-for-3, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Aguilar drove in the game’s winning runs with a double as part of a five-run fifth inning

- Christopher Familia: 1-for-3, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
