The Yankees dominated the Sox on Saturday, and so did two of their affiliates.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (43-46): While they crushed three solo home runs, those was not nearly enough for the RailRiders to overcome Louisville, as the Bats prevailed 8-3.

  • Star of the Game: Oswald Peraza – 1-for-4, 1 home run (12), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Peraza has homered in two consecutive games
  • Josh Breaux: 1-for-4, 1 home run (2), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Breaux is hitting a ludicrous .458 in his Triple-A stint
  • Phillip Evans: 1-for-4, 1 home run (6), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
  • Jhony Brito: 2.2 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 4 K, 72 pitches (46 strikes). Brito took the loss and is 4-2 on the season
  • Michael Gomez: 1.2 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 1 K, 43 pitches (22 strikes)
  • Shane Greene: 2.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 35 pitches (21 strikes)
  • Braden Bristo: 2.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 42 pitches (29 strikes)

Somerset Patriots (53-33): Somerset has spent the last couple of days teeing off Portland pitching. They smoked another four bombs in a 7-3 triumph.

  • Star of the Game: Max Burt – 2-for-4, 2 home runs (8), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 strikeout. Burt has gone yard five times in the last week
  • Elijah Dunham: 1-for-5, 1 home run (12), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 3 strikeouts. Dunham is 5-for-17 with two homers during his four-game hitting streak
  • Jesus Bastidas: 3-for-5, 1 run scored
  • Rodolfo Duran: 2-for-5, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
  • Mickey Gasper: 2-for-3, 1 home run (6), 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Gasper’s two-run home run in the second inning cleared the right-field pavilion at Hadlock Field
  • Sean Boyle: 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 9 K, 94 pitches (68 strikes). Boyle now has seven straight quality starts – over that span, he’s lowered his ERA from 6.80 to 4.30
  • Tanner Myatt: 1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 22 pitches (14 strikes)
  • Derek Craft: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, 24 pitches (13 strikes)

Hudson Valley Renegades (47-39): The ‘Gades rallied to tie the score in the ninth and then walked off in the 10th, defeating Greenville 5-4 to continue setting the pace atop the division in the second half.

  • Star of the Game: TJ Sikkema – 5.1 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 10 K, 71 pitches (47 strikes). Sikkema has racked up double-digit strikeouts in back-to-back starts
  • Cooper Bowman: 1-for-3, 1 home run (8), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout
  • Eric Wagaman: 2-for-5, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 strikeout. Wagaman played walk-off hero, singling home Aaron Palensky with the game’s winning run
  • Aldenis Sanchez: 1-for-2, 1 run scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base. Sanchez scored the tying run in the ninth on a wild pitch
  • Carlos Gomez: 2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 41 pitches (24 strikes)
  • Nelson L. Alvarez: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 34 pitches (19 strikes)
  • Nelvin Correa: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 15 pitches (7 strikes). Correa’s win pulled his record to 2-2

Tampa Tarpons (39-45): More weather-related complications for Tampa, as their game against Daytona was knocked out. They’ll play a doubleheader tomorrow.

FCL Yankees (21-8): The Yanks blanked the Blue Jays 4-0.

  • Star of the Game: Omar Martinez – 1-for-2, 1 home run (2), 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Martinez, who supplied all the offense the Yankees would need with a three-run bomb, is hitting .333 at the FCL level
  • Agustin Ramirez: 1-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
  • Luis Serna: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K
  • Brock Selvidge: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K. Selvidge is 3-1 on the year with a 3.55 ERA
  • Aaron McGarity: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
  • Alfred Vega: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
  • Luis Velasquez: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K

DSL Yankees (15-16): The Yanks rode a five-run third inning to a 10-7 win over Guardians Blue.

  • Star of the Game: Johan Ferreira – 3-for-5, 1 double, 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Ferreira has six doubles and eight steals in 18 games
  • Keiner Delgado: 1-for-2, 3 runs scored, 3 walks, 4 stolen bases
  • Manuel Palencia: 3-for-6, 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored
  • Jordarlin Mendoza: 4 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K
  • Franyer Herrera: 2.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R (1 ER), 0 BB, 4 K. Herrera got the win
  • Luis Urbano: 1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 0 K
  • Jan Pena: 1.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K. Pena earned his second save

DSL Bombers (17-15): The Bombers dropped their matchup with Cubs Red, 6-4.

  • Star of the Game: John Cruz – 1-for-4, 1 home run (3), 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. The 16-year-old has posted an .875 OPS
